Brianne Corbridge

Instructor - Ballet

Brianne is an apprentice at Central Illinois Ballet, new to Illinois, and thrilled to be part of the dance community in Peoria. She recently graduated from the University of Utah with a BFA in ballet and an emphasis in teaching. At the U, she has performed works including Jose Limon’s Choreographic Offering, Fokine’s Les Sylphides, and numerous original works by university faculty. Brianne also was a creator of the Interdisciplinary Performance Arts Collective, a club to provide student-led performance art in the greater Salt Lake Community. As a co-director of IPAC, Brianne choreographed, composed, and produced a full-length work in 2022 titled AirBird at the Rose Wagner Studio Theater.

Before attending the University of Utah, Brianne trained and performed with Cache Valley Civic Ballet under Sandy Emile. She performed featured roles in the Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, The Firebird, Dracula, and others. Brianne has also had the privilege of performing as a guest artist in Oquirrh Mountain Ballet’s Nutcracker under Alice White.

Brianne received pedagogy training from Steffanie Casperson and was an instructor in her academy, Ballet Aligned for several years. She has furthered her pedagogy training under Maggie Wright-Tesch by including a teaching emphasis in her degree and including kinesiology and human development in her studies. As an instructor, she creates a safe, inclusive environment that strives for excellence through a science-based movement approach.

Currently, Brianne is rehearsing and performing with CIB. She is deeply interested in pushing her boundaries and discovering her potential as a performer, artist, and teacher.
